This course is designed to introduce students to English Phonology. This course deals with the concept of Phonology and its difference from Phonetics. The students are introduced to the kinds of English consonants and vowel sounds such as how to determine the characteristics of English consonants and vowel sounds. The students are also introduced to phoneme, allophone, and their difference. The students may also learn about sound distribution, stress, and some phonological rules.
