This course deals to introduce students to fundamental concept of teaching English to young learners. It elaborates some numbers of important issues in the area of second language learning, especially for children. It discusses myths and misconceptions on children’s characteristics in learning together with its implications for classroom teachers, the developmental characteristics ofchildren learning a language, some appropriate methods and techniques of teaching young learners, especially learning or activity centers that create opportunities for both first and second language development. It also digs out some strategies that can be used to evaluate student’s progress in the English classroom. In the teaching and learning process, students have to be discipline, never give up, and do something with their heart and soul the specified expressions appropriated to the context (Nilai Kejuangan). Students’ classroom activities include individual, pair, as well as group works to develop students responsibility and collaboration. Evaluation on students’ achievement is based on classroom  activities, and competence tests.
